Frequently Asked Questions

You need to inform your freight forwarder about the items you will be shipping, which will be documented on your Bill of Lading Draft Copy. If you're shipping a vehicle in the container, the following documents are required:

  • Original title for the vehicle

  • If the vehicle has a lien – Original release of lien or lien satisfaction

  • Bill of Sale

 

The trucking company transporting your container to the port must have:

  • Four copies of the title(s) for all vehicles in the container

  • Four copies of the dock receipt, to be presented at the time of delivery to the port

 

Most shipping lines take between 21 to 32 days for the vessel to arrive at the destination. Unforeseen instances, such as weather conditions, may affect transit times. You can track your container using your booking or container number.

 

 

A telex release is the soft copy of the legal document issued by the shipping line, allowing the merchant to release your container at the point of destination.

 

 

For new customers, a 50% deposit of your freight bill is required at the time of booking. Once the vessel with your container sails, an invoice showing the remaining balance will be sent, which needs to be paid a week before the vessel arrives at the destination. Please allow 2–3 days for processing your bill of lading or telex release.

 

 

You will need a copy of the bill of lading or telex release email to retrieve your container from the port of destination. Your licensed freight forwarder will provide you with these documents.

 

 

A bill of lading is the legal document issued by the shipping line, allowing the merchant to release your container at the point of destination.
